Areas of Focus

Global Health

A family tragedy a few years ago motivated the Mampeule family to make a global commitment to be the founding donor of The Global Surgery Foundation (GSF). The mission of the GSF is to facilitate the development of surgical, obstetrical and anaesthesia care systems. These systems will ensure universal access to emergency and essential surgical care that is safe, timely and affordable. We commit to supporting the Global Surgery Foundation over the next four years, as we work towards achieving Universal Health Coverage and the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals.

We encourage the global community to partner with GSF and contribute to improving surgical outcomes throughout the world.

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Our Foundation commits to supporting disadvantaged communities across South Africa and recognises the challenges our founders faced growing up in the township of Daveyton, in South Africa. The Mampeule family use their position in society as a platform to support others by providing grants to non-profit organisations and communities across South Africa. Some of the organisations that have benefited from this support include:

Our Community Partners

  • The Thabo Mbeki Presidential Library is a centre of excellence in learning, research and discourse for the transformation of Africa.
  • The South African Masters and Legends Association aims to unify and build an organisation for all ex-professional football players. It provides a sustainable relationship with the football fraternity and assists with the development and promotion of football and related policy.
  • The Kesandu Foundation supports under-resourced school children in Limpopo with school uniforms, bags and school material. The Kesandu Foundation was the 2019 Recipient of the Annual Charity High Tea.
  • Shining Stars Academy – This organisation is an ECD centre for children from the Diepsloot and Riverview communities in northern Johannesburg. Shining Stars Academy was the 2020 Recipient of the Annual Charity High Tea
